$PULSE Token: Complete Guide to PulseNet's Native Token

Mar 26, 2026ยทPulseNet Team

$PULSE is the native SPL token of the PulseNet network, deployed on Solana. It serves as the economic backbone of the decentralized proxy ecosystem, connecting users who need bandwidth with node operators who supply it. This guide covers everything you need to know about $PULSE: what it does, how it is distributed, and how you can earn and use it.

Token Utility

$PULSE has four primary use cases within the PulseNet ecosystem:

  • Payment. Users can pay for proxy bandwidth with $PULSE and receive a 30% discount compared to USD pricing. This is the primary demand driver for the token.
  • Staking. Node operators stake $PULSE to receive priority routing and higher earning multipliers. Staking also secures the network by ensuring operators have skin in the game.
  • Governance. $PULSE holders vote on protocol parameters including fee structures, emission rates, and network policies through on-chain governance.
  • Node rewards. Node operators earn $PULSE for every megabyte of bandwidth they contribute to the network.

Tokenomics

$PULSE has a maximum supply of 1 billion tokens. The allocation is as follows:

AllocationPercentageVesting
Node Rewards40%Emitted over 5 years, declining schedule
Community / Airdrop15%Distributed at TGE and via campaigns
Team15%1-year cliff, 3-year linear vest
Treasury15%Governed by DAO, no fixed schedule
Investors10%6-month cliff, 2-year linear vest
Liquidity5%Unlocked at TGE for DEX pools

Emission Schedule

Node rewards follow a declining emission curve inspired by Bitcoin's halving model. In Year 1, approximately 120M $PULSE are emitted to node operators. This drops by 20% each year: 96M in Year 2, 76.8M in Year 3, and so on. After 5 years, the remaining node reward allocation is emitted at a minimal rate governed by the DAO.

Deflationary Mechanics

When users pay for bandwidth with $PULSE, 10% of the payment is permanently burned. This creates deflationary pressure as network usage grows. At scale, the burn rate is expected to exceed the emission rate, making $PULSE net-deflationary.

Staking Tiers

  • Bronze (1,000 $PULSE): 1.2x earning multiplier
  • Silver (5,000 $PULSE): 1.35x earning multiplier + governance voting
  • Gold (10,000 $PULSE): 1.5x earning multiplier + governance voting + priority routing
  • Diamond (50,000 $PULSE): 2x earning multiplier + all benefits + early access to new features

Earning $PULSE

There are three ways to earn $PULSE:

  1. Run a node. Contribute bandwidth and earn proportional to your uptime, speed, and geographic value.
  2. Airdrop. Early testnet participants and community contributors are eligible for the initial airdrop at TGE.
  3. Referrals. Refer new users or node operators and earn 5% of their first 3 months of activity.

Airdrop Details

15% of the total supply (150M $PULSE) is allocated to community distribution. The first airdrop will reward testnet node operators, early API users, and community contributors. Eligibility is based on on-chain activity during the testnet period. Snapshot dates and claim instructions will be announced on our official channels.

Conclusion

$PULSE is more than a payment token. It is the coordination mechanism that aligns incentives between users, node operators, and the protocol itself. Whether you are using PulseNet for proxies or contributing bandwidth as a node operator, $PULSE is at the center of the ecosystem.
